Teaching Methods for CTE
with Jodi Tillman

This course was designed for new Florida secondary or postsecondary career and technical education teachers, but it is also open to any CTE teacher interested in teaching methods for CTE courses/programs. The course content will be located on the Canvas platform, which is available to participants 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The live sessions will meet weekly on Zoom for a four week period. Twenty points will be awarded for successful completion of this course.
Planning and Implementing Effective Program Evaluations
with Daniel Cox

This is a 4-week, 20 Point online course that will provide participants the basics of program evaluation and the strategies needed to develop and implement a CTE Program or Career Academy evaluation plan at the school or district level.
Introduction to CTE Assessment and Evaluation
with Sonya Rosenglick

This is a 4-week online training program that will provide participants with an understanding of CTE assessment tools and best practices for measuring student performance. Participants will also learn the relationship between assessment and instruction and how to use assessment to guide in-struction and monitor student progress.
All Things Google
with Tech Divas

Google can be an incredibly powerful tool for teachers, and if you’re just using it for Internet searches, you are missing out on tons of fabulous features! All Things Google is a 4 week, 60-point online course exploring Google Workspace for Education. There are so many ways to use Google tools, even if you're not a Google district. We include an intro to Google and their culture, better search tips, along with many other fun Google tools, Chrome extensions for, and inspiring ways to use them. We’ll look at some of the fabulous ways teachers are using Google Slides to create game templates, vision boards, escape rooms, adding Bitmoji or Peardeck, and interactive notebooks. We explore Google Sites and Google Classroom, as well as show you where to find the best inspiration and templates. Empower your classroom and your students to do more and know more via Google!
AI in the CTE Classroom

This four-week course is designed for career and technical education instructors who want to understand, implement, and responsibly manage artificial intelligence tools in their classrooms and programs. Artificial intelligence is rapidly transforming both education and the workforce, and CTE teachers are uniquely positioned to help students prepare for this future. This course provides a practical, hands-on introduction to AI, focusing on tools and strategies that save time, enhance teaching, and support student success.This course will assist you in exploring how AI can streamline productivity, improve instructional design, and expand opportunities for student engagement. Participants will gain confidence in identifying the strengths and limitations of AI, applying ethical guidelines, and selecting tools that best fit their teaching environment. The course content is available on the Canvas platform, accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Participants must score at least an 80% to earn the 20 points. There will be 3 live sessions via Zoom that require mandatory attendance. Participation during these live sessions is necessary and part of your grade is attending and participating in these live Zoom sessions.
Technology Basics
with Tech Divas

Technology Basics is a 3 week, 24 point online course that covers computer fundamentals, along with some fun technologies to use with students! The course includes: Internet skills, key software applications, computer hardware, technology standards, digital literacy and some fun technologies. Week 1 includes a fun game intro, a look at the National Education Technology Standards (NETS) for teachers, and a review of computer fundamentals. The second week covers digital citizenship and Internet skills, including protection from scams, hoaxes, myths, digital footprint awareness and the “Be Internet Awesome” program/game to use with students. In week 3, we get into basic computer maintenance tasks, and an overview of productivity suites and some of our favorite resources for templates that are attractive and professional. While this is a basics course, we wrap up with an Inspiration section of some of the latest ed tech to spark imagination and inspire students.
